Another fully rugged PC announced by GETAC with no picture just the basic specifications, is the E100 lightweight tablet of just 3 pounds, promised to be available soon at an accessible price.
If you didn’t know, GETAC is a leader in innovation and manufacturing of rugged computers and solutions for the military, law enforcement, telecommunication, public safety, utility and mobile workforce industry.

Same as the B300 with night vision, the E100 model appears for the first time at the DistribuTECH 2008 Conference & Exhibition at the Tampa Convention Center and will be released for the market in March.

Owning an E100 means having a dirt, dust, motion, vibration, temperature resistant laptop and also a shock- and water-resistant model which you can use in any kind of extreme conditions.

It features an 8.4-inch TFT SVGA transmissive display with touch-sensitivity and optional Ultra-Bright screen for extremely light conditions and 800 Nit backlit LCD technology.

“The E100 sets a new standard in lightweight Rugged mobility at a competitive price that makes it attractive for deployment to an entire field-based workforce,” declared Jim Rimay, the vice president of Sales & Marketing at GETAC. “It fills a tremendous void in the Rugged marketplace for a 8.4-inch slate tablet that is lightweight and balances on the palm of your hand, is easy to read even in the brightest sunlight, has the power and extended battery life to operate for long periods of time, and can be customized to meet a wide range of field and customer service applications.”
